Dr. Benjamin Garlington is an educational leader, researcher, and technology professional with a PhD in Information Science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
His academic background includes a Master of Science in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
As Director of iCode Little Rock, Dr. Garlington has spent years developing educational partnerships, implementing STEM programs, and expanding access to computer science and digital literacy instruction throughout Central Arkansas.
His doctoral research examined community engagement and cloud-based educational ecosystems. Through Garlington Strategic Solutions, he continues this work by connecting research, education, industry, and community partnerships to support measurable educational advancement.
Garlington Strategic Solutions builds upon doctoral research conducted by Dr. Benjamin Garlington at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
His research, Addressing Engagement for Cloud-Ecosystem in a Box (CEB), examined research engagement, technology accessibility, and community participation within cloud-based educational ecosystems.
GSS extends this research foundation into practical educational environments through collaborative research, needs assessments, curriculum development, and program evaluation.
GSS is developing research initiatives focused on strengthening foundational digital literacy, computational thinking, applied STEM learning, and responsible artificial intelligence education.
Initial research activities emphasize students in grades 3–5, with a long-term vision of expanding educational research and instructional opportunities across K–12 and adult learning environments.
